Put Your Thumb And Little Finger Close Together: What Does It Mean If This Appears On Your Wrist?
The appendix, tonsils and wisdom teeth are parts of us that aren’t really necessary, but were very beneficial in the past, so we still have them when we’re born.
They are known as rudimentary structures and are a pretty interesting subject to study.
They represent “genetic structures or attributes that have lost their function completely or at least partially, but maintained themselves in the process of evolution.”
The usual examples are our appendix, the tonsils and wisdom teeth. But, there is also another part of our body that isn’t functional.
Try this: Put your hand on a flat surface with the palm pointing towards you and put the thumb and small finger close together.
If a little bump appears in the middle of your wrist, it means you have an extra muscle on your forearm.
If you don’t have it, don’t worry. It certainly doesn’t affect the strength of your hand.
